Welcome to this unique mom circle! A mix between mom support, therapy, new friendships, and group healing. A place to share, process, learn, inspire, absorb and feel held.
In 8 sessions we'll collectively move through my book 'Journal your way into Conscious Parenting'. Each two weeks you'll work through an overseeable part of this journal (nothing is obligated, you can't be behind!) which we'll discuss in our zoom meeting.
We'll spend the first meeting getting to know eachother, creating a safe space, and sharing about our current momlife. The aim is to create a space where you can share and feel inspired without being judged, or receiving unsollicited advice.
In meeting 2+3 we'll revisit our childhood, through the lens of our adult selves. It is an opportunity for being heard, being held and for healing. It's also an opportunity to create a deeper understanding of our current selves, and to create compassion for our 'shadow sides'.
Meeting 4+5 is all about family history. What is the story behind our parents and grandparents behavior? What challenges did they deal with, and how did this reflect onto your upbringing? These weeks are an opportunity to let go. Let go of any negative feelings we hold towards our parents, such as blame, resentment or lack of comprehension. You'll be surprised how much lighter you can feel when these feelings are replaced by compassion.
With the newfound compassion for ourselves and our (grand)parents, we're ready to have a courageous look at ourselves as parents, which we'll do in meeting 6+7. What kind of view on the world and themselves does/did our parenting style create for our children? Whatever insecurity or regret might come up for you, you won't be alone with it in this group. Here you can get it off your chest by speaking openly without feeling judged. And for all those 'failures' we punish ourselves for, let's laugh at them together. Most likely we all went through something similar. Hearing it from someone else makes it seem not half as bad as when we're alone with it! And ofcourse we'll also celebrate eachother, for our amazing efforts and every little and big wins we experience as moms.
In our final meeting we'll reflect on this 3 month journey, leaving this group with increased confidence, emotional awareness and compassion as a parent, and ofcourse a lasting circle of supportive mom friends!
Looking forward to meeting you.
Love,
Alexandra
